AVON TOP 20 SALES LEADERS TRIP TO MALTA
Every year, AVON Cosmetics run a trip for the Top 20 Sales Leaders in the country. This year the prize was a trip to Malta.
Our business has been progressive enough to qualify for the last 5 years.
- In 2008 we had the privilege of going to Prague with AVON Cosmetics
- In 2009 we had an amazing time in Palma in Majorca, again with AVON Cosmetics
- In 2010 AVON again did us proud and took us to Monte Carlo (what a trip that was!)
- In 2011 we had another amazing trip to Berlin - this was very cultural indeed - thank you AVON!
- In 2012 we have just got back from another amazing time in Malta - this was the best Top 20 trip yet!
Some of the great things we did with AVON this year in Malta are below:
Firstly, we stayed at the Hilton Hotel at St Julian's Bay which is arguably one of the best hotels on the whole Island! It is in fact the tallest! Our room and view were spectacular.
On the Friday we enjoyed a welcome drink and fantastic views of the Marina from the terrace of the hotel. After the welcome drink we were taken to the Water's Edge to the Paranga Beach Club where we enjoyed a delicious BBQ and an evening of "chill-out" music and entertainment.
On Saturday after breakfast we were whisked via Power Boat across the sea to the Island of Gozo. There, we split into teams and were given keys to Jeeps where we were then given instructions for a "Treasure Hunt" across the Island of Gozo. Brilliant fun! And a great way to see the Island. After the Treasure Hunt lunch was served at the II Kartell Restaurant overlooking the sea. Then back in the powers and whisked back to Malta where we relaxed for a few hours at the pool at the Hilton Hotel.
At 7pm we met in reception and were taken by coach to the medieval village of Qormi where were greeted by the local band who lead us to the Razzett L-Antik Restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious meal and a traditional Maltese evening of food and entertainment. On the way back to the hotel we stopped off at a local nightclub for more dancing and entertainment.
On Sunday, after another delicious breakfast, we were taken from the Hilton Hotel to the capital of the Island, Valletta where we engaged in a walking tour of this fascinating city. Wonderful sights, wonderful buildings and wonderful views along with fantastic gardens and monuments.
At 12.45pm we relaxed over lunch at the chic Trabuxu Bistro. This was the best pasta dish we had ever tasted (and this was just starters but should have been a main!). We were so full after this meal as it was all so enjoyable and the pasta of course was made even more enjoyable by the flowing red wine.
Then at 2.45pm we travelled back to the Hilton Hotel to cool down in the luxury swimming pool in the 30 degree sunshine.
At 6.45 we had to be ready at the Hotel Reception in our "formal attire" only to be greeted by 8 luxury classic vintage cars - Rolls Royces, Cadillacs, an Armstrong Siddeley to be whisked away by classic vintage car to the Palazzo Parisio, an 18th Century palace located in the heart of the picturesque Naxxar. It is a treasure trove of delight and still, amazingly, a beloved family home which is renowned for its cuisine.
On arrival, we were guided through the palace gardens where we were greeted with champagne and a wonderful choir situated across the garden pond, some 70 yards away. What a fantastic start to the evening.
After the reception we were then taken into the Parisio for our gala dinner where we enjoyed exquisite surroundings and exquisite cuisine. The menu was:
Truffle scented Cream of Celeriac served with crispy Pancetta & drizzled with aromatic Herb Oil
~~~~~~~~
Chicken breast wrapped in Parma Ham with Gratin Dauphinois Potatoes & Creamed Spinach
~~~~~~~~
Apple Crumble with Vanilla sauce
~~~~~~~~
Coffee & Tea & Petits Fours
These AVON trips are definitely not to be missed.
After our wonderful meal we were then transported by coach to the Hilton hotel's VIP nightclub where AVON had reserved a section for us. The views were spectacular across St Julian's Bay. We enjoyed fantastic company and music and "refreshments".
